Oh my gosh!
This session was so much fun! I just adored working with Mckalynn!
We covered multiple locations and looks to incorporate Mckalynn's interests and style. We started at Earl Duncan Park at Paulding Meadows in Dallas, GA where we were able to photograph Mckalynn with her treasured grandfather's pickup truck. A wardrobe change allowed us to capture casual portraits in a rustic setting. Dodging spiderwebs, a law enforcement training detail, and mudpuddles made for a fun afternoon!
Moving to downtown Dallas, GA, I photographed Mckalynn with a beautiful fountain in a downtown courtyard. Mckalynn was an eager participant and game for whatever suggestions I had.
We actually did our portraits over 2 different days! Day 2 started with a surprise visit to Birch Tree Bookstore in Dallas. (Go check them out! Monica is fabulous!) Mckalynn loves to read so this was the perfect spot to photograph her with and around lots of books!
We continued our day at my home studio for some more book themed images. We added in a few more wardrobe changes for some simple but stunning studio portraits, formal cap and gown portraits, and some fun portraits showcasing Mckalynn's participation in the ROTC. Finally, we were able to showcase Mckalynn's passion for and involvement in marksmanship. (If you know me, this is right up my alley as well.)
Mckalynn, while a little shy, was easy to work with and eager to try any crazy idea I had. She loves her family, animals, and reading. Her favorite places are bookstores and wherever her loved ones are. Her love for her grandfather was evident as we incorporated his old truck into her session.
Her hobbies, besides books, include music, movies, and crime documentaries.
She plans to go to college and follow that with the Air Force Reserves with the goal of becoming an officer.
I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you, Mckalynn! You are a treasure! I'll be here rooting you on! Thank you so much for trusting me with your senior portraits!
